soft rice? Less water! (much smaller)
The first few times I cooked rice in a rice cooker using a measuring cup and the appropriate lines, it was too mushy! But when I filled the measuring cup, it landed on 1/2 of the rice, poured it out and then filled the same measuring cup to 1 with water and poured out, it's well below the 1/2 cup waterline, but it turned out to be perfect rice out. Lost a star due to bad water line but the product works fine if you don't listen to their measurements, especially at such a low price!
