So I looked at quite a few different kits for my Neato D7 before I bought this one. I chose this one because it had the balance of the things that mattered most to me. Cleaning tools, price and the parts that caught my eye the most. I've been limping around with the same filters and brushes for over a year now without too much trouble. . These little stockings make it easier to pull my wife's and dog's hair out of the suction brush. Unfortunately, the photos in my set were missing a long, thin comb/brush. I took a close look at the side brush and it's an exact clone. The injection holes of the mold are the same. rigidity of the bristles; I didn't count the bristles in as much detail, but every detail was exactly the same. Unfortunately, after installing a new side brush, I noticed a shortcoming. The bristles are not inclined downwards. This adds just enough drag to keep the side brush from spinning freely. Hopefully I can bend or heat the bristles enough for the side brush to spin properly. The filter has the same number of pleats and the same material. Just like the side brush, every little detail is exactly the same and OEM from Neato. My Neato came with the "Spiral Combo Brush" and this kit came with the "Combo Brush" from my research. The spiral combination brush is superior to the combination brush. This stylish brush comes with older Neato vacuums. Time will tell how much it outperforms the performance that comes with my Neato. We're talking about a small robot vacuum cleaner, not a Formula 1 racing car, where even the smallest percentage counts. The main differences I see is that the old one had 3 brushes and 3 plastic blades. It has 2 spirals each around the shaft. The bristles on the old ones also seem a bit stiffer, but that could be because the old bristles are worn out and are closer to the base. The plastic on the ends of the brushes is a slightly different orange color and is slightly weaker. This should not affect durability or performance as there is no stress on these parts. The filter in this kit is the same as the original filter. The pleats have a fine mesh designed to prevent hair from clogging the pleated filter. Yes, that's true, but it also comes at the expense of the folds, which are filled with the finest dust that you can't easily remove from the filter. This is handy for manufacturers since most people just throw the filter away when it gets dirty. Filter change is recommended every 1-2 months. I prefer to clean the filter by removing the screen. I like to cut the screen on three sides so it's still attached but I can access the creases. I use a small piece of tape to hold the screen in place during use. I brush through the filter once a week to remove large particles. If the filter is really bad, I spray some soap and water on it and let it air dry. I've been using the same filter for over a year with no problems. Note that I once tried to lengthen the blow dry and melt the folds of the filter. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. This whole kit costs the same as an OEM brush. Ordering the cleaning comb kit was a big decision for me, so not having one is a bit disappointing. I would probably look for a kit with a different type of roller brush and wouldn't confirm any complaints about the side brush. I would give 4 or 5 stars if I didn't have the missing comb and the side brushes work out of the box. With 2 adult dogs, a toddler and a long haired woman, it's hard to imagine floors being clean without my little robot!
