Review on Pikaon Soft Nylon Dog Muzzle - Adjustable Straps, Ideal for Medium to Large Dogs by Emily Wilson

Very good - better than expected

I recently bought a new car. My dog (14# American Eskimo) loves to ride horses and is used to putting his front paws (from the back seat) on the center console of my old car (he was 9 years old when we adopted him and after a year of trying to adopt him to wean, I bent ...). However, the center console in a new car isn't exactly conducive to standing on, so I was looking for a product that would help me keep it straight back (typical hammock-style covers don't hold it). I was particularly interested in the Pikaon barrier because of its size (it appears to be larger than many other similar barriers) and mesh-like material (transparent and breathable). The product fits very well in the space between the front seats, is easy to assemble and adjust, and actually looks good in the car (at first glance it seems like it comes with the car). Importantly, the barrier kept our dog in the back seat better than expected. She tried several times to figure out how to get around or get over it (mostly on her hind legs and the front legs on the back of the passenger seat) but we quickly corrected her and she seemed to figure out pretty quickly that this wasn't the case. it was useless. Also, we were recently on a three hour drive and after relaxing she seemed to appreciate being able to see us through the barrier in the front seat while she was in the back seat. Finally, there is a rear seat vent on the back of the center console, and this barrier does not impede airflow thanks to the mesh design. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and effectiveness of this product. While I'm sure there are highly motivated and athletic dogs out there that could handle this, I would happily recommend this product to most dogs (and owners).
