Review on 🔒 Enhance Security with POP & LOCK PL1700C Chrome Tailgate Lock for Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon by Darius Carraway

The product looks good. BUT. The first one I ordered worked 6 times and then broke. There was too much play on the inside of the handle and the truck's left tailgate latch could not be released. I contacted the seller and he sent me a replacement. Your customer service is excellent. I received and installed the replacement and when I opened the handle I still had to pull the tailgate quite hard to open it. Upon closer inspection, on the inside of the new Pop&Lock grip I found what I would call the plunger (the part of the grip that contacts the ignition port mount) with a gap of about 1/8 inch between it and the ignition had port. Bracket. Looking from the outside I had to crank the crank 1/2" before the inner piston touched the opening strut. With the Pop&Lock fully open I still had to pull the tailgate fairly hard to open it. The product would be good but whoever designed it needs to go back to the drawing board and make sure the inner plunger is making contact with the port bracket.Once they fix that this product will definitely work.Until then, avoid.
