Review on Chrome and Black Starter Cover Accent for 1999-2006 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles – Kuryakyn 7846 Motorcycle Engine Accessory by Jeff Long

I'm not going to chrome the whole engine but I thought the area above the gearbox looked very dull on the 14 SG so I rolled the dice on this starter cover. If you want to cover the entire starter like I did in this video you will need to buy both the starter cover and the starter bracket cover here. Kuryakyn 7779 Starter Mounting Cover. Installs in about 5 minutes and adds a nice touch of chrome to the large hole under the seat. If you have LED lights around your engine, they can also be reflective. It will also cover the wires down there. I can't complain about this detail. Good solid chrome details. Not plastic. I was missing the screws when I got it, but a quick trip to the local hardware store and I had 2 new posts for less than a dollar. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. It's fine and easy to fix, but they should be packaged as the description says. Standard screws do not fit. You need 2 narrow washers M4 and 2 hexagon socket screws M4 x 0.7 x 16 mm. Overall I am very happy with these two parts. After months of driving them, there are no problems to report.
