Most options blink terribly
You only get one permanent lighting option (out of 8 options), lavender and gold: not quite a "festive" color combination. The other 7 options blink horribly, some of which are likely to cause seizures. Another annoyance is the cord that comes out of the top of the trunk instead of going all the way down the pole like any regular lamp. Finally, the remote control must be pointed directly at the power plug and within 12 inches, otherwise it will not work. Unlike the other tree I have, there is no button on the fork to manually switch modes, so the remote is the only way to handle this feature. and much nicer than tiny little LEDs.
