I bought these for my fiancée because she can't use a menstrual cup but they also care a lot about the environment and how much waste comes from toiletries. It took a few adjustments, but they're never going back to disposable pads. Firstly they are a bit thicker than disposable pads, it was worth a small adjustment and the slight inconvenience of switching products. After a few days they got used to it and didn't complain. They never felt rough or dirty during use, they were dry and dependable. The pads stayed in place with just a click, but we've got a trendy strap for the back. Just in case they never had to use it. You don't have a very active lifestyle, so the pad doesn't slip or move. I suppose if you had an active lifestyle I would definitely consider some fashion tape to secure it. Washing was easy, we just hand washed them and tossed them in a simple wash cycle with dark clothes. If you don't like this idea, I think it would be okay to just pop it in the washing machine. All in all, you'll need to make a few adjustments and weigh up whether the small downside is worth the economy and environmental friendliness. Also as a last note if you need it ASAP you can pay for expedited shipping. We got easy shipping and it took almost two months for them to show up. Not sure if this was due to Covid 19 or because they were shipped from Jamaica or if they were handmade first. I have no idea. But I had to wait 2 months.
