Was OE in Vostro 1520. 10 months in use. The owner hasn't reported any issues so far, but has noticed occasional slow downloads. The failure was complete and catastrophic with no ability to clean files, although the drive initially powered up, was not recognized on the USB interface, and encountered more than expected vibrations during spin up. Dell, no questions asked, will replace the drive with the orig W7 operating system installed. Redistributed after installation, since deleting files from a "dead" disk was more successful if they have multiple partitions. It would be interesting to know what caused the crash and if the event viewer alerted you to the impending crash. Not my block but a repeat of the USE YOUR DATA lesson!
