Don't need the ridges
They work fine, but I don't like the ridges for the fingers. The spacing is wide enough for an adult hand, but doesn't work great for kids. I would suggest that they should just make the hand-hold smooth.

Cons
- If the hand grips are not installed properly, they may add a false sense of security to children while playing, leading to potential accidents
