Review on GAMING Dipped Carbon Xbox One Controller by Eric Temple

Received today and immediately installed on my 9 year old son's controller. It connected easily enough and I had no problem removing the rear grip clips to get at the screws - I suggest a credit card or if you have an opening pick they work fine. a few spots where the carbon fiber construction didn't transfer cleanly. Two right in the middle of the controller and one around the joystick. This bothered me so much I wanted to send it back but when I bought it for my son I figured he wouldn't notice or care and he didn't. The stain is by no means large and I understand that the process of submerging can be tedious and messy at times. What I don't understand is how the company allowed this item to be sold to a customer. I would never allow this item to be bought at full price - if anything I would sell it as is, at a discount or repurpose the case to apply a less complex monochromatic design. After installing the new front case and holding the controller in my hand, I noticed that the left side of the case no longer sits flush with the rest of the controller like it used to - nice and smooth. As long as the controller is held normally in the hand, the seam in the body immediately catches the eye. When I bought this for my son I checked it out again and left it as is. I tried to take a picture of the seam to include in this review, but no displacement was found upon inspection of the picture. As a result, I've downgraded the original 3-star rating to a 4-star due to my nitpicking. I'm still a little frustrated with the design transfer error, but I understand that such a template compromised the carbon fiber pattern consistency much more easily and decided more than one star was tough. I've since looked at additional designs from this seller and plan to purchase a few more skins for the rest of my controllers. Hopefully these designs have gotten a little cleaner. PS My son really likes the new bowl!
