Well it's a replacement for the previous one that failed.
We have been using this type of toilet seat for several years and usually need to replace it after a few years due to corrosion of the hinges. But this one broke after 30 days because the seat (not the lid) cracked in the hinge/screw area. Not happy given the price. But it's always possible that it was an accident. And it really is aesthetically perfect, so we took a chance and ordered another one.
