Review on 💾 High Performance Toshiba 1TB 5400RPM SATA3/SATA 6.0 GB/s 8MB Notebook Hard Drive (2.5 inch) - MQ01ABD100 by Kendriece Figueroa

All my comments are based on results reported by the drive's SMART function. The drive was new when it arrived (0 hour life) so I believe it was indeed new and not refurbished. My first long test immediately reported bad sectors. 8 on arrival. In the end I managed to remap these sectors. I later wrote some random data to the disk and everything looked fine, but with regular use I found another set of 8 bad sectors which got reallocated again. I think this is too much for a brand new disc and have decided to return it for a refund. The drive was quiet and power consumption was low. Installation was easy.
