failed after 90 days

Two of these adapters have failed since the beginning of the school year. One stopped working at all and the other had "screen noise" that stopped when I plugged in a new one. For some, a longer adapter might be a good thing, but my teachers use it hanging over the edge of their desk and I think it breaks the internal wiring.
