Our 15 kg Siberian is in love! When we first gave this cardboard scratching post to our cat, it was no surprise that she immediately jumped. It fits right into any paper product, whether it's 20 times the size or half the size. Three surprising things: (1) he actually uses them to scratch, which just surprises me because he's never used cardboard to scratch before, (2) he practically lived in it for the first three days (he usually gets tired from a new box or a bag during the day if not a few hours), and (3) after a few weeks he still uses it regularly to scratch and relax. I was also very happy with the durability - even the scratchy parts are holding up very well. A downside for us is that the Siberian has a triple coat and has been shedding like crazy since the summer. I've tried various ways to remove the fur, but so far the only thing that seems to work is the duct tape - and it's expensive considering I wipe about 4-5 sheets a day just using this box clean. (On the other hand, it's better there than on our carpet.) If a manufacturer could make a brush that removes cat hair from this box, they would have a new product to sell (at least we do)! One final note: the seller was kind enough to include a large sample of his catnip. Another novelty is that our nine-year-old cat, who has never been interested in catnip (fresh, organic, other), suddenly loves this nasty stuff! I'm not sure if he just changed as he got older or if this catnip is really special to him, but it's awesome! We will be purchasing another of these salons for another room soon!
