The top ruffle starts at the edge of the mattress so it barely fits on the daybed and leaves no room for bumps when changing linens. I had to repeat it several times while making the bed. It looks like it handles the settings well. Time will tell if we can do it. I want it to be hemmed on all 4 sides, or I can choose one of the long sides in place of the missing side, but the skirting covers one short end and two long sides. There are slots in the corners with some overlap and it works well but doesn't separate completely for the most uncluttered look possible. It's great when the bed is assembled. I would recommend it and am satisfied with the look and the price. I paired it with hard-to-find white ruffled vertical curtains (a subtle but fun compliment without looking too appropriate).
