Phew, smell! about storage and organization

I read the reviews about the chemical smell and figured it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. These are cardboard floors that really stink. I took my basket and put it on the table to air. Half an hour later, the stench seeped into the next room, and I moved the trash cans on a table in the garage to air them out for a couple of days. I can still smell it if I put my nose right up to the trash can, but it's not at all what it used to be. Otherwise a decent product. I wish there were more of these containers with label holders!
