While Wi-Fi devices support a claimed "concurrent throughput of 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) and 867 Mbps (5 GHz) for high-speed wireless communications", the WAN (internet cable from your modem to your router) is limited to 100 Mbps. You won't get advertised speeds on a LAN (a device directly connected to the router) or a Wi-Fi setup (a device connected via Wi-Fi) because the WAN is the bottleneck. You can configure the router as a repeater BUT this will result in performance degradation and will require a second model of HIGH level router. Note that this is not the case in a single router configuration, LAN/WAN is limited to 100Mbps, and this limits Wi-Fi speeds to 100Mbps in traditional settings. Asus, I've been a customer for half a century and I always come to your products first. I've bought this router twice and it wasn't until I increased my speed to over 100Mbps that I realized how fraudulent this product is. Everyone, avoid this product, it is a lie for good at best and a deception at worst.
