My retractable cable pedal broke after over 20 years on my Pfaff sewing machine. I was shocked at how much a new one would cost. Thought I'd give it a try as it was very cheap and the end looked like it would fit. I read other reviews and they seemed positive except that the connection was weak. It's loose and I glued on a piece of duck tape to hold it in place. It works great for me. The pedal is smaller than the original, but this is not a problem in terms of functionality. I'm glad I took the risk as it saved me the sewing machine repair fee and the price of a branded pedal.
