I will never repeat this purchase.

A person in 2022 who purchases a top-tier Samsung TV anticipates viewing movies in high definition. I specifically purchased the top-tier Samsung 2022 Dolby Atmos HW-Q90R soundbar for this TV, which retails for about 90,000. What I also learned from the best Samsunga setup is: - The majority of the common formats that TVs costing $20,000 read by the TV are not supported. – the TV only supports 4K in a specific codec with a specific configuration. Those. The movie will likely need to be converted to a format that the TV supports for two days if you want to watch it in 4K (ps. ffmpeg settings, in case anyone wants them: ffmpeg -i original file name. Mkv "-c:a copy" with libx265 output file name. Mkv) with the following parameters: -tag:v hvc1 -crf 23 -pix fmt yuv420p10le -x265-params "level=5.1:colorprim=bt2022:transfer=smpte2084:colormatrix=bt2022nc" - The sound should be sent in Bitstream, i.e. "as is" in the movie, even though the TV does not support Dolby Atmos or DTS, even though the soundbar supports both sound formats. - The TV's operating system is frustrating and difficult to use, and there are no other music-listening apps except Deezer in the Samsun App Store. And in that one, the sound will play in terrible quality even if you purchase a HiRes membership. In conclusion, I do not suggest spending so much money on this!

Pros

Cons
  • doesn't support the majority of video codecs - does not support Dolby Atmos and DTS audio. - terrible OS
