Review on Nonstick 12-Cavity Donut Baking Pan By Beasea, Carbon Steel Mini Donut Mold For Bagels And Baking Tray - Ideal Donut Mold For Homemade Doughnuts And Pastries by Jeff Pfaff

Rusts after one wash, couldn’t even use it once!

This donut pan is very cute, and I would have loved to use it if it were actually usable. I opened the box and placed it directly in the dishwasher as I was about to run a load. The next morning, I took the pan out and was holding it upside down when I found lots of orange spots on the "wells” of the bottom of the pan. Flipping it over to the right side where you would place the batter, I found orange spots also but not as much. I thought perhaps these were tomato sauce or soup that got splattered inside but they were too evenly distributed per well. I stuck my finger in a well to scoop out a bit of the orange gunk, smelled it, then realized it was rust! This is heading straight to the garbage bin and I’ll be asking for a refund.

Pros
  • These pans are nicer than anything I saw at the stores and I would recommend.
Cons
  • The nonstick coating may contain harmful chemicals that can transfer to food
