My first Cricut 2 experience, which I got for Christmas. I had no idea what I was doing and I managed to make a mask. I ran the cutter twice with white vinyl (wrong setup/vinyl), the second time I used "iron on setup" and it cut through. Removing the excess (around the design) wasn't the easiest thing, definitely a labor of love. This took 5 to 10 minutes. I had to hold down the area around the letters to keep the whole design from popping up. It was also difficult to see the thin cut lines, which was a little scary. I managed to carefully remove everything and the only tools I used were a hook and my fingers. I'm guessing it's medium thick, but I don't have anything to compare it to either. You definitely need to take your time or you might pull out the entire design. The iron took about 20 seconds. In general I was impressed, especially as a beginner. I'm sure it's not premium vinyl, but it's good for the budget and for beginners. I have attached photos of flowers to show the brightness.
