I've tried many foods and methods to keep cheese fresh. Nothing works like this paper. Some don't work at all. I have been successfully storing packaged and properly stored hard cheeses for several months. Soft cheese is not as long, but still better than other products. I used to try paper, but when it ran out I decided to look for a cheaper alternative. Vain. Although this paper is expensive, it's worth it if you want to keep your cheese fresh.
