I specifically wanted something that could easily cut through the plastic container lids used in the packaging of most sanitizing wipes. (Like the plastic rings that hold soda cans together, these lids pose a hazard to underwater life.) The description gave me high hopes that scissors could cut through the lids. These scissors cannot cut the eyelids as desired. Part of the problem is that the part of the blade intended for cutting hardened materials is high up in the "claws", almost at the junction. Most of these materials are difficult to lift that high into the opening. Although not recommended (I decided!), I pushed the cover into the hole as best I could, but this only resulted in the plastic cracking. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
