Assembly was very easy. I filled mine with water because I was too excited to try and didn't want to buy sandbags. I feel like the water itself is perfect for him because he's not designed for hard shots anyway. A design flaw is that the tip of the bar can detach. Mine did and it flew through the garage. The downside is that the manual grip/tightening doesn't have a mounting hole. The end of the screw/bolt simply rests on the smooth surface of the frame. So I just drilled a hole and now it's going nowhere. The gloves that come with the kit are also stiffer (e.g. not very shock absorbing and comfortable). It's ok as I had other boxing and training gloves lying around. I find the 12oz glove works great with it. After all, this is not a heavy bag. Don't treat him like one and I have a feeling this will last for many years to come. GREAT workout and so much fun and can really get your blood pumping. Highly recommended!
