I'm really looking for leather gloves that feel like a second skin and I expected these gloves to be quite light and thin. This is not at all what I received. The fingers are a little long. I haven't tried testing if the gloves work on my smartphone yet, but the feature is pretty much useless if the fingers aren't the perfect length. Working with a smartphone with an empty finger is inconvenient and strange. In at least one other review I've seen that velcro straps serve no particular purpose as you can still put gloves on and off. That's true and I actually bought these gloves based on this review. You could just start with the laceless model since I wear them on and off anyway. I don't like playing around with belts. These gloves are great for riding in cold weather as the leather offers full wind protection which is always nice. The added protection from hard knuckles is something to always look for in riding gloves when finding a pair that suits you. The cuffs are not rounded and have an awkward shape that I don't like. There is no reliable way to attach the ties to the cuffs of a long sleeve shirt without it blowing back in the wind. I can return them, but I have enough time for that. They're not bad, but not great, so I can use them while actively buying something better.
