Overall I like this mic for the price; This is fine for some of the basic YouTube videos I've recorded, and it's a definite step up in quality over the iPhone's internal mics (I have an iPhone 7 Plus). Note that I was very disappointed when I first heard pops and clicks in my recording that seem to occur every 5 seconds or so. After researching various "cures" online, I finally found one that works: put your phone on airplane mode! This disables the Wi-Fi radio, which apparently can cause audio problems. For the money (not much) this is a worthwhile purchase for basic audio recording.
