I can only give this product one star because it broke on the third use. The materials appear to be good, but the construction does not stand up to normal use. The ricer doesn't press all the way through the potatoes, leaving about a 1/8-inch layer of mashed potatoes at the bottom of each press. On the third use, the hinge pin slipped out and the device became unusable.
