Review on SIKA FBA_472189 Ready Mix Concrete Patch by Marcelo Montalvo

Bought to patch a few patches in a 61 year old concrete patio where some decorative tiles were cracked and missing and a few flat spots where the concrete was chipped. He was ready to apply. from the bath and requires no mixing. The first four patches I did were probably too deep to do in one application, between 1/4 and 1/2 inch at the deepest point. Before applying, I carefully cleaned the stains and blew out the dust. After a 24 hour cure the patch could still dent slightly and one of them cracked as it dried and shrank. But after 2-3 days of curing (weather should be dry) it was fully cured. I ran out and ordered a second bath to finish. After drying, the first 4 patches were slightly concave in the center of the patches, about 6" x 4", so I added more to even them out. And filled in some shallower areas. Another patch that was about the same depth as the first, I only filled in the deeper parts and let it dry before finishing with a second application. When applied thinly (1/4 inch or less), the material dries fairly quickly. The instructions recommend that I go a little deeper than 1/4 inch in two applications if possible. I would also recommend trying to get the final finish of the patch within minutes of application as if you wait a few minutes for it to start The material dries to a light grey, much lighter than the surrounding concrete but that's no surprise, and imagine that it ended up blending better with the surrounding weathered concrete.
