I have had Rexing DVRs for about 4 years. My previous one was only HD so when it died I figured it would be better to upgrade to a 4K camera as it's pretty affordable now. 1080 is good and can be good enough in decent conditions, but number plates can be difficult to read at night or from a distance, so I've decided to step it up a notch. The DVR is pretty well made, especially better than my original Rexing. They've made some nice improvements and now it's a really decent device. The most important thing, in my opinion, is the image quality. This is an extraordinary word. For such a small device and such a low price, the picture quality is excellent. There is nothing more to say about it, except that you will not be disappointed. It works well in all conditions I've seen so far. I also have a rear camera this time, and it's nice to have that extra field of view as accidents behind you are just as likely as in front of you. She. Again, the quality is excellent and it was very easy to connect. Now my few points of contention: - The menu system and controls are a bit clunky. I don't really care about that because once the camera is set up, you rarely get a chance to go back and make changes. I have a set of cables so that I can use the parking monitor. Sometimes when I get in the car or close the door, the camera starts recording. It's not too big of a problem: too many entries are better than too few. However, it seems that if this happens in the middle of a parking monitor recording and I turn on the ignition, it can cause the device to not start recording properly. The fix is quick: just unplug the power cord and plug it back in, but that's an extra step I don't want to pay attention to. The iPhone app is functional but clumsy. You could spend some money and improve it. Again, you only need to use this if you need to download something, so you'll have major issues to worry about at that point. All in all a great device and I am very happy with it. Setup is quick and easy, and most importantly, the image quality is exceptional.
