Review on ๐Ÿ‘ Performance Thumbsticks KontrolFreek Destiny 2: Ghost for PlayStation 4 Controller, White, 2 Mid-Rise by Ronald Noel

Nice pair of handles!

Before I bought these Get-A-Grip Analog Thumbstick Grip Covers for PS4/PS3 from ScrewyRobotTM I bought them to see if the extra height/feel would make as much of a difference as some have said. I have to say that they really helped after adjusting the game's sensitivity settings (make sure you did! I found it varied from low/medium/high sensitivity by around 2-4 depending on the game Sensitivity). : I have fairly large hands, so the extra height from them really helped clench my hands as I had to keep my hand in the "claw" to squeeze the analog sticks. They feel very grippy to me, even after 6 hours of gaming and sweaty hand syndrome well and truly, my thumbs weren't slipping off them at this point like they did with the thumb grips mentioned above which was just an hour later. Form. Some lamented/mourned about the uniform. This is great for me as I can use the Ghost's edges/protrusions to move the analog stick much better. I don't explain it very well, but in my opinion it definitely adds something positive! Cons: price. $18-20 for 2 caps for medium height analog sticks. Ouch. For the price I really wish they had two high rise caps and also although the mid rise fit feels good with my big hands the larger ones would be really good! As you can see from the photos I'm posting, they come very close to the d-pad and button area. That being said, if you accidentally put them on and you have a fastener in that area, they will bump/rub and also prevent you from moving the wand fully. So keep in mind that you may need to rotate them a little after you put them on. them. to avoid it! Neutral: As one person said, there are some manufacturing defects. The spots they hold in place when finished don't appear to have been smoothed/polished and you may need to bring a file if they are hard enough to dent your thumb if you wish. They also discolor fairly easily (they're white rubber or silicone, so it's not entirely unexpected), so check that out if that's a big issue for you. However, I recommend checking them out at your local store if possible, as the form may or may not work for you. All said and done, I recommend trying them out. Especially when you can get them on sale or when the price drops!

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
