Great brew with some quirks

I want to start off saying this coffee maker has made the richest and most flavorful coffee I’ve had in a long time. I was using just a crappy $20 coffee maker from Walmart. With that said I want to point out a few flaws. There’s no way to select the amount of cups you want to brew. Let’s say the reservoir is full at 12 cups. But you only want to brew 6-8 cups of that. You cannot do that unless there was only 6-8 cups in the reservoir because the normal setting will brew 6-12 cups. However much water is in the reservoir is the amount it’s attempting to brew.Similar to using a small batch of 2-4 cups. If you select this only wanting to brew 2 cups but there’s 4 cups in the reservoir it’s going to brew 4 cups.So the reservoir in my opinion isn’t much useful if you need a specific amount of water in it for a specific amount of cups you want to brew. I thought I would only fill it once every 3 brews because I only brew 4 cups at most. However this still means I need to put 4 cups into the reservoir every time I brew. Which also makes the extra 8 cups it could fit completely useless.I think a simple feature of allowing us to select how many cups we want to brew, from 1 to 12. Would be much better than us having to put a specific amount of water in it each time. However you’d also now need additional tech in there to measure how much water it took from the reservoir. Which ultimately would make the unit more expensive. All in all it’s a great coffee maker, just more work with filling the reservoir than I anticipated.

Pros
  • REMOVABLE WATER RESERVOIR: Conveniently carry the 70-oz. water reservoir to your sink for easy filling.
Cons
  • Requires frequent descaling to maintain performance.
