It was pretty easy to swap out in my Honda CRV rear diff. I first removed the top plug on the diff (easily with a ratchet or breaker) and then removed the bottom plug to drain the fluid. I replaced the bottom plug and used a Hopkins 10803 FloTool transfer pump to force the dual pump fluid through the top hole and into the differential until it was full. Then I just screwed the top connector and that was it. It took about 20 minutes total including jacking up the car to access the differential. By doing it myself I saved about $100 compared to what the dealer would have charged. It also saved me having to take the car to the dealer when the dealer called me trying to sell me extras my car didn't need or told me they needed to change the fluid twice to flush the diff and to bill me. double (yes, that happened to me a few years ago - I told the service guy where to go). If you can get under the car and use basic tools, try to do this service yourself. Remember to remove the top plug first and then unscrew the bottom plug. If you first remove the bottom plug and drain the fluid but can't get the top plug out (unlikely) then the fluid can't get back into the diff.
