I used these types of devices before I included PID controllers. These are the clearest instructions I know. two short pieces with a wire nut. These two hot lines go into #1 and #3. #2 is your hot-to-heater/cooler switch. #4 is the white neutral and the other white is from the heater/cooler. #5 and 6 are for the temperature probe with the ends kindly stripped and finished. Works well but most importantly - few disappointments with good recommendations.
