Review on 🕺 Fossil Men's Gen 5 Garrett Smartwatch: Speaker, Heart Rate, GPS, Contactless Payments, Notifications by Darryl Jennings

My first smartwatch was the Asus Zenwatch 2 Rose Gold Special Edition so I love the watch with the traditional metal strap and case. Garrett looks incredibly beautiful, the resolution of the big face is 400 pixels per inch, so that's a very high resolution. Garrett is light for his size. It works great on Wear OS! That 1GB RAM makes a big difference. The buttons on the side are programmable, the middle one rotates and allows you to scroll through different screens. Saying "Ok Google" will wake the watch and allow commands like "Text wife bring tacos for dinner" and it will do it. !Waterproof, took soap and water in the shower several times with no problems. GPS, BT, Wi-Fi etc work great. The battery life is as expected and to be honest more than I expected. People for whom 24 hours are not enough have never had a smartwatch with any features. Sorry, end of ranting. Overall, I'm pissed that I didn't catch it on sale. I'm glad I bought it anyway! You can also download the sleep app on your watch from play store and it will track your sleep perfectly and nnnddd monitors your heart rate while you sleep. I don't know why people keep saying that _____ watches don't have a sleep monitor, it's just an app. download lol.5/5 Fossil Bravo.UPDATE: 7/18/2020 Returned the watch to Fossil today as there was a problem with the speaker. I did some research and it's been covered a lot, but nothing official from Fossil. Will update again with what the warranty experts say. Paid $19.27 for insurance and shipped via UPS with tracking number. I hope they just replace the watch. UPDATE: On 07/28/2020 the clock was changed on 07/24. (according to UPS) delivered to the workshop. At the time of this update, Fossil hasn't said if they received the watch. UPDATE: 8/7/2020 I finally got an email that Fossil received my watch. The online status also changed to "Product received". UPDATE: 08/19/2020 "Dear ______, Thank you for submitting your product to FG Services. We regret that we are unable to carry out the requested repair. We offer a gift certificate for the original. Purchase price to choose a replacement. You will receive an email with your gift card information within 1-2 business days. Have a nice day, FG Services Customer Service. UNBELIEVABLE. a month to tell me they can't fix the watch. I'm emailing them now to make sure they send my original watch back. From 5 to 3 stars. UPDATE: 8/20/2020 Fossil gave me a full refund. My only complaints are these: I can only use on Fossil.com, CANNOT be used in ANY store. I will not return my broken watch if I accept a gift certificate. This review is complete, in general BEWARE of a (seemingly) fatal speaker problem.
