I've only used them for one trip so far, but I found them worth their weight in gold. My husband, son and I have just returned from a trip to China; and I was the only one using the compression bags (stupid guys). They insisted they didn't need them, but my husband wouldn't have needed to skimp on clothes if he'd used the bags. You don't save on weight, of course, but on space. I still hung some clothes that needed to stay wrinkle free but put all my other clothes in compression bags. When I returned home, I put all the dirty laundry (which can take up so much space) and even some souvenirs in these bags. You have to sit/lie on it to get the air out; But once you master the technique, it's pretty quick.
