We love this waffle maker but I noticed that the ready light doesn't go out when it's done like the instructions say. This can lead to dangerous heating. I also noticed that the oil (which the spray/use instructions say) pools at the base and drips off the panels when opened. I kept wiping but it looked like the oil was still there so I unscrewed the panel to wipe off the rest. I found that the wiring and cable were coated in oil, which strikes me as completely unsafe. The photo of the wiring/cable was taken after I had already rubbed the inside and realized there was no way I could get the oil off the wiring. I hope Cucina Pro can improve on this waffle maker as we really enjoyed the fun animal shapes.
