Has served almost 2 months and I use it every day. I am very happy with this kettle so far. This makes the tea taste so much better than my old teapot. I like glass because you can see water boiling in it. Also makes my loose tea taste much better by heating it on different levels. I did get a few stains on the bottom of the kettle from the water I use, but I found a way on You Tube to easily remove the stains. Fill a saucepan halfway with water and add 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. With the lid closed, bring the water to a boil and when finished, open the lid and allow to cool. Remove the water and rinse the pot and it is ready to use. It's amazing how stains disappear so easily. Instead, you can use vinegar and citrus to clean by boiling, but before using them they must be rinsed and then refilled with water, boiled, and poured again to remove the flavor. Tartar leaves no taste. I wipe down the inside of the kettle after daily use to keep it looking new.
