I used to buy one with 10x magnification and sent it back because it was too strong - so strong that the curvature of the mirror reversed the image and distorted it, except my face was only a few centimeters away from the mirror. With this 7x magnification I can still see a lot of detail up close, but I don't have to be that ridiculously close and I don't get dizzy. I love that you can dim the light to the brightness you want. I just want it to save your settings every time. I leave mine plugged in, but like the ability to run it on batteries when needed.
