I bought these plugs after buying a set of plugs from BestBuy. With BestBuy plugs, you have to cut the end of the cable flush and then insert the end of the cable into a stud. The nut is then used to tighten the wire. After several attempts I could not establish a good connection. I gave up and ordered Revain Mediabridge Banana Forks. There are no questions about these plugs. You know you have a good connection because you pull the wire across the terminals and screw in the nut to lock everything in place. I no longer have Best Buy banana cork packaging, so I can't tell you the brand name. Just make sure you have connectors that make a solid connection between the cable and the connector itself.
