Review on Crafting Clay 🎨 Charms Kit by Klutz by Kyle Lawrence

Got this for my granddaughter as a project we could do together. The set itself was really very nice, maybe a little smaller than expected from the photos but very nicely made with many examples inside. However, clay, especially pink, blue, and purple, was very hard and no matter how much we knead it, heat it in our hands, or roll it on the table, it didn't soften enough to be usable or malleable. In fact, it was crumbly. This was a real disappointment for my granddaughter as they were one of her favorite colors. Since we were using this clay material for the first time, I went to Michaels and bought replacement colors. None of the interchangeable colors were loose and we were able to mold them easily. So it looks like the set contained either old or inferior clay, especially these colors. The other colors were hard too, but in the end we were able to soften them enough to use. I also got extra clay paints from Michaels as a test and again they were very easy to work with.
