I love this thing. In my opinion it is worth the money. It does what all those overpriced $8,000 snap-on devices do for 1/6 the price. Snap on can't write information reading software for cars, they have to rely on the manufacturer to tell them everything. So in that sense they are no different. And see, it's the only real way that matters. Everything else is just fluff and fluff that you don't need. Buy this thing instead of getting ripped off. Now there's something I think the company needs to be clearer about. This WILL NOT WORK until you do 2 things. You need to email them your serial number. It's useless until you do it. Apparently, they had many fakes, so they protect their intellectual property by forcing you to email them before you can download the necessary software for it. This confused me at first as it wasn't mentioned in the docs. At least nowhere that I could see it. They have to activate the device from their end and it's useless except for a simple OBD2 scan until they do. You can't download a real program that can scan every system in your car and tell you exactly what's wrong. Until they are activated. Hence, you need to get in touch with them. They give you an email address and you just send them your serial number and ask them to activate the device so you can download the software. Second, you need to "bind" the OBD2 wireless connector to it. Somewhere on one of the diagnostic screens, in a corner or elsewhere, it will ask you for a number that is on the OBD2 wireless connector. You need to paste and essentially connect this before it will work. That way, if you ever lose a wireless jack, you can just buy and plug in another one cheaply. Once they're connected, you don't have to do this again. But you won't use it until you do. Other than those two little things, it's great. You can take control of systems and be told what's wrong with them. ABS on? He told me my front right sensor had a problem. Another ABS light on my f150, the ABS pump died. It's great to just know what's wrong with what you're working on. This will scan the ABS system, body control module, engine control module, transmission control module, airbag system and others that I forgot to mention. It makes them all. Would buy again.
