I think they are Type 2 Titanium. I have compared them to real Type 2 Titanium and they only look a little lighter and not as dense as they appear empty. The sloppy grip is pretty much just for show, so make sure you dry your hands or you'll slip. .Its worth it? I think for people who didn't have really well made instruments. It's just that my real wax tool just feels worse compared to this one. I really hope it's Titan Type 2. Do they work? Of course they do. After a few uses you will know how to apply wax properly. May I recommend? Yes and no, it depends on the person. I'm not happy because I like more quality in my tools, but I know people who use what they can.
