This is a great item for my wife's car. Mine requires a hard connection to CarPlay, so it's overkill for me. I use a regular non-charging magnetic base. And that's okay, since wireless charging almost halves battery life when it's the only charging method. If they could find a way to leave the phone on a wireless charger without constant maintenance from the OS, that would be better. With this Naztech item, the magnets are strong, the suction cup ensures a secure hold and the charger works. as advertised. The extra boom joint is great and really expands your mounting options. If you are looking for a magnetic Qi phone dash mount, this is a really good choice. If your car's infotainment system calls for a hard line, that's overkill. The MagBuddy mount without charging looks the same without the cable. Anyway, Naztech has a good setup here.
