Review on Canon PowerShot A480 camera, black by o Bnh ᠌
I was surprised by the quality for this price.
When connected to a computer under XP, the camera is recognized without additional drivers. Windows automatically launches the "scanner or digital camera wizard", which allows you to copy photos to a person who is not even friends with a computer. By default, the destination folder is "my pictures". True, it is copied slowly, about 1MB / sec. In addition, it is possible, with such a connection, to open through the conductor. I chose the color of the case live in the store. Black seemed to me the most stylish. The other, silver with a white center, also looks pretty nice. Blue and red with a black center look a bit rustic. It is the wide black rim-body that seems to spoil the view.
- Optics of acceptable quality, only small aberrations are noticeable at the edges of the frame. Noises are discreet, like film grain. When shooting - fast in everything. The video is very good, lively. Good auto white balance. Enough standard modes. Well organized controls and menus. Easy to view photos and videos. I am very pleased with its standardization: batteries (accumulators) - the most popular - AA, audio-video connector - standard mini-jack, data transfer - via standard mini-USB, memory card - SD. Each of the listed devices is the most common in its field of application, which means that there will be no problems with connecting at a party, while traveling, or high costs for the purchase of new accessories.
- No significant shortcomings were found. Unless: there is no position sensor - vertically-horizontally. But you can manually apply "verticality" to the desired frames when viewing on the camera.
