These fans are highly recommended when trying to get more air through your case. This is my first build and I am using NZXT H500. For a few weeks or more I only had two 120mm fans on the back and top of the case. Sometimes my temperatures would get a bit warm while gaming and the fans would actually start whistling. I couldn't tell if it was my Wraith Spire or NZXT case fans or both. I was debating whether to upgrade the CPU fan or buy a liquid cooler to dissipate the heat, but just couldn't decide which way to go and how much to spend. I wanted to bring some light into my case so I figured what the heck am I going to try out some RGB fans now and bought 5 packs because they were reasonably priced and decently rated. That's what I'm thinking right now: COOLING. I would say my idle temp was around 35-40Β°C while in games I was around 48-57Β°C. I don't overclock much so I don't really get into it. After reading a bit about proper airflow in the H500, I installed 2 fans on the front of the case for intake and made sure the top and back were blowing air. I started Division 2 and played for a while and not once did the fans spin like a jet. I was very impressed. I checked the temp and started thinking about where I used to be idling. I had no idea they would add so much cooling to my case. + for the great airflow! NOISE - Fan noise never bothered me until my standard fans and the winds really started taking off like a jet. Holy Cannoli, they got loud. After installing these 4 DeepCools, the noise level has dropped significantly. I was expecting them to be very noisy based on the lower price and some reviews, but my experience was great. + for making my buzz level a breeze! APPEARANCE - This is the place that I feel is missing. The fans are black squares and look like they are regular case fans with white translucent blades. There are no real frills. The LEDs radiate outwards from the center of the slats, so the light is very strong in the center and only diffuses at the edges. Overall, however, I'm still very happy with the aesthetics they've given my case, so I'll give it a 4 for looks. QUALITY AND INSTALLATION - I'm working on a GIGABYTE GA-AX370 in an H500. Everything was pretty easy to install, but I encountered three problems. 1) The included screws looked like they didn't want to go in the fan screw holes. I actually had to go back a few times to make sure they were straight and try again. I feel like they aren't very straight and you have to try too hard to get them all the way down. 2) The power cables felt a bit short while the RGB cables were a few inches longer. I had to scratch my head a few times trying to figure out how I was going to string everything together and get everything where it needed to be. I feel like for the most part I didn't have a lot of extra cords, so be careful if you have a large suitcase. However, the included power hubs and RGB adapter gave me enough to get the job done. 3) The RGB adapter that plugs into the mobile device feels really bad. I even squeezed it lightly a couple of times to make sure it wasn't all the way in, but it is. Works well, it just makes me nervous how loose it sits on just the four pins. I like the tight fit. The last issue that might bother some is the instructions. they are garbage. I don't even know why they are in the box. These are a few sketches of the product showing how it sticks together and that's it. I just solved the installation problem myself and threw them out the window. So like a C+ for installation and quality. In the end I am very satisfied. Even if I've only used them for a few months and switched to something else, I feel like I got my money's worth and they did more than I asked for. I had no idea they would help bring my case temperature down so much and still be so quiet giving me a nice look in the case. I'm even considering postponing further research on fans and CPU coolers as I've had great results with my pace! In my personal biased experience I give them 4 stars overall. I will report if anything negative comes up.
