Dual action sweeper works great on tiles but not carpets. Suitable short pile rug. I did a cat litter test on a tile, everything fell apart from the first pass. Although for the money I'd rather invest in Fuller. You get a smaller cleaning area with the fuller, but ironically they are that good. While the dual action sweeper does its job well, it just doesn't tell me the quality. The rubber wheels, which engage the brushes when moving back and forth, feel a little cheap and wear out quickly. The double action works equally well both forwards and backwards. The front brush is thicker than the rear, although this doesn't affect the results. The nylon bristles(?) are light (lighter than I thought) and I think they will wear out over time. I will update this review (posted 1/23/2019) if and when it ever happens. The handle is divided into 4 threaded parts connected with screws. I have noticed that this is why the knob loosens from time to time and needs to be retightened. Don't pull them too tight as the threads may seem to snap. Four stars is good when you need something more than most. If you want a quality sweeper that will last, get the Fuller.
