Good design, mediocre performance

Probably one of the most compact cases you can find. It's also the only model that uses screws to secure the drive and close the case. This means a 7mm disc won't bounce and bang against the sides. It's also USB-C, which means excellent write speeds, although the SATA connector will be your limiting factor. However, you would expect a little more for this price. Other cases include silicone inner and/or outer surfaces for added protection. It has tiny foam padding on the back for what's called "shock protection". I mostly keep them at home so it's fine for me but might not be for others. There is also an issue with the device showing up as "VLI product string" under the USB ejection tray icon. Do a little Googling, it seems that some of their other products have this problem as well. VLI is the supplier of their boards, and Orico hasn't bothered to change the product name to their own, which is pretty casual for a $27 case. If you have multiple identical enclosures attached at the same time, they will also appear under the same VLI Product Line heading, meaning you cannot extract them individually. I've attached an image to show the problem. I've gone back and forth with the company, but they don't seem to admit any fault, and none of their solutions were particularly helpful in deciding to blame my computer, despite trying it on multiple devices. It doesn't matter if you only have one of the cases, but it's still worth mentioning. Overall these are the only cases that offer the features that are important to me, but at this price point you could go elsewhere and find other better value cases.
