I see others complaining about Yosemite incompatibilities and this might be a different one. newer Macbook Pro Started with Yosemite 10.10.2 Time Machine recognized Mac Mini TM file and offered to backup Macbook TM separately Flawless Then June 2015 Apple updated to 10.10.3 partition with Time Machine backups unmounted and not wanted to be provided deleted. I was able to circumvent the latter by putting it back into the RE partition for just one partition, after which it was mounted and allowing any level of secure erase. Deleted and sent back for a refund. Either Apple needs to end the nightmare of selling to Yosemite, or third-parties need to network more closely with Apple's top engineers so they CAN build compatible devices. Three stars. because it is very easy to set up. noiselessness. Looks nice. Cons: Outage in less than a month. It didn't pop out like the cable on Wes Digital drives, but it will definitely pop out with touch or wind.
