"Meters " - The best! i am sold

Excellent device, even unpacking it was an adventure. Box in box with a very compact and well made wooden (bamboo?) sensor holder/charger. Even the necessary AAA battery is included. Setup, including BT detection, on my Galaxy S7 Edge was a breeze with the Meater app, a free download from the Google Play Store. Setting up the chef was also an easy task. If you need instruction or step-by-step instructions, the app even offers tutorial videos. Cook. I cooked a 4.2 pound chicken; battered, flavored with citrus, seasoned and arranged on a wire rack in a casserole dish. I inserted the meat grinder into the thickest part of the breast up to the indicator line on the dipstick. I set the cooking parameters in the application following the step-by-step instructions and put them in a preheated oven. Being able to control both the temperature in the oven (outside) and the temperature of the meat (inside) made my first cook with Meater an adventure. Result. The roast was cooked perfectly. The cooking process in the Meater app includes a "rest" interval. Let the meat rest for the specified time to ensure it has been thoroughly cooked while remaining moist and juicy. I look forward to using the Meater to cook other types of meat. So far I've used several corded cooking probes from higher quality manufacturers with some success. This is a bit random as the sensor simply reads the temperature of the meat and reports and warns when it reaches the set temperature. The chef needs to know how much sooner to take it out of the oven to get a proper rest. In addition, the use of the cable is limited to a few meters from the stove and is difficult to clean. Conclusion. If the Meater works as well as this little chicken on large roasts, then I'll be sold out and will forgo other devices. I'll keep an eye out for other chefs when I can. I have a pending order for the Meater unit (4 sensors with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot) on my wish list. Think about cooking several different types of meat at the same time or slicing them on the grill or in the oven... it's no longer a guessing game.
