So-so - car radio receiver

So let's start. I've been working with this radio for 2 or 3 weeks now. Appearance: The radio looks good. I prefer a radio with a combination of touchscreen and knobs/buttons. The touch screen is too blank. So that immediately caught my attention. In addition, the buttons and knob have a color-changing backlight that you can set to a specific color or enable automatic color changing. Performance: This is where my real problems lie. It came with a camera but I chose a different camera due to the way the mounts are provided so I can't comment on that. Also, I use stock speakers in my car with no additional subwoofer or anything, so I'll pass along the audio rating other than saying it sounds good in my car. The radio is Bluetooth enabled which was a big plus as my car has Alexa and I used to have to run an extra cable around the dash. Region. Unfortunately, Bluetooth is mediocre. The sound comes out of only one speaker at times and then returns to normal very quickly. When using Alexa over Bluetooth, the device often picks up on what it's saying halfway through, as if it's suddenly connected. On top of that, and probably the worst thing, is that when you start a new song, sometimes it stops completely. To fix this I have to pause the radio and turn it back on only to find the song is already playing and halfway through. This happens often enough to draw attention and cause irritation. The screen is brightly lit, which is good during the day but blinding at night. There is a button to dim the screen, but it's very small and doesn't help much. Pressing the button again turns the screen off, which is fine, but it instantly goes full bright when you change the volume. which suddenly hits you with the power of the sun when driving at night. Since the remote isn't even out of the box, it's not a possible answer to that ghost in the car. Conclusion: In the end, the radio is decent enough for the low price. Unfortunately it has too many bugs for me. I really recommend this and I'll probably be looking at another radio in the not too distant future. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give it a 3 at most.
